Rumors has it a CSGO Battle Royale is coming to CS:GO, named Survival. CSGO_Dev on Twitter has been teasing the release of the new update, and with a new beta branch created, players have begun searching for clues of whats to come.
A Reddit user posted a screenshot of a developer testing the game mode, titled ‘Survival Blacksite’
While we called it a Battle Royale, chances are we won’t see more than 20 players in one game, compared to the 100 which participate in games like Fortnite and PUBG. Counter-Strike simply isn’t built to sustain 100 players in a game, unless they’ve made some major changes.
Esports and gaming insider Rod Breslau tweeted his thoughts on CSGO Survival mode, and how he thinks it could impact other games. If they were to develop a full fledged Battle Royale for CSGO, with more players, it could easily compete with the larger competitors.
The new CSGO update is expected today with the game mode Survival. While not expected to be a full-fledged Battle Royale, if one came out right now a CSGO BR/Valve BR would automatically be a significant competitor to Fortnite, PUBG, and CoD Blackout.

What do you think? Is a Survival mode good for Counter-Strike:Global Offensive?
