Epic Games, the creators of Unreal Engine and the popular Fortnite, are now showing off their next generation digital humans at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
Meet Siren, a high-fidelity, real-time digital character. She is created using dynamic motion capture of a real human through the Unreal Engine, in this case Chinese actress Bingjie Jiang.
Included with the realistic motion-captured movements is an unprecedented level of detail in the eyes, skin, and hair which really look human. These graphics go above an beyond anything we’ve seen, and with so many other developers using the Unreal Engine we might just see the next generation of graphics when it comes to human-models.
